Deepa Sreenivas teaches in the Centre for Women’s Studies at the University of Hyderabad. Her research interests include contemporary political theory, visual culture and gender studies. She is the author of Sculpting a Middle Class: History, Masculinity and the Amar Chitra Katha in India (Routledge, 2010). Her research articles have appeared in Indian Journal of Gender Studies, Feminist Theory and Childhood. Deepa is the Series Editor for Different Tales, a series of illustrated books for children.
